Odense Reunion 2004 - Diary

Thursday, June 24

I had to pack my stuff to move over to a friend's place (for the sake of anonymity, let's call her mdf = my Danish friend). I met her last year at the Ephëmeris exhibition when she came out onto the balcony for a smoke and we talked for about half an hour. Pinon got a taxi to take us to the gallery, so I didn't have to carry my heaps of stuff through a bus

The weather had turned rainy the day before and it stayed that way, although it let up a bit.

It is windy in Brandt's Passage

I hung out a while with the other artists. Becky, Marion & Laura showed some art people around (sorry, I didn't get exactly who they were, I'm such a newbie, totally faceblind and forgetful of names, but I seem to remember that Tina from Brandt's Klædefabrik (OK, OK, I did install the Danish keyboard layout, so now I do have an æ on it ) was there, she's a very friendly person).

We grabbed some lunch at the Café Froggy and I handed in a new roll of film on my way back to the gallery. Skipper & her friend returned from København (yes, I have an ø as well ), and angela's art finally arrived (no thanks to the customs people, but I guess that's their job. Never write "art" on the customs declaration if you don't intend to sell it, lesson learned ). Patricia's husband and Becky hung it in the downstairs room.

Proper outfits for the Danish "green winter"

In the afternoon, I met with mdf at the gallery. She had a look around, then took me with the car to her place for a cup of coffee. We joined the others for dinner at a Turkish place - All U Can Eat for 69 kr .

The ducks are quite tame in Odense
