Odense Reunion 2004 - DiarySunday, June 27 |
(I took notes fot this final entry at 23:00 on the front steps of Filosofgangen Gallery; it seemed like a fitting place)
I slept a little bit in, had a cup of coffee and a relaxing talk with mdf, then headed for the Cuckoo's Nest for brunch. It took me quite a while, because I kept seeing things and got turned around in the park.
People who know me can testify in my favour that it wasn't me |
Seeing things |
One day I'll have to remember if that river Fruns South or North
. I only noticed I was walking the wrong way when I was already well past the zoo. Got lucky catching a bus, but didn't make the driver happy, since I hadn't been able to get any change the night before. In Odense, you have to pay the bus with change, because they only have plastic baggies filled with 10 1kr pieces each, which is quite a bother to them.
I took the boat at 14:00 with Laura and Sadalbari, and we met up with mdf at the zoo. Sadalbari and me got separated from Laura and mdf, so we continued alone.
I ran out of film
, actually a few moments before Sadalbari's memory chip was full
. Murphy at his finest.
A trip to South America |
Paparaziing |
Here there be tygers |
There are educational programs for children and a petting zoo |
We took the boat back and met Laura and mdf at the gallery. mdf introduced me to a local art student and we had a nice chat.
I rejoined the others at the Clarion for drinks. There I stole a cup of tea
from somebody I'm going to call - for lack of a nick - taisstf (The Artist I Stole Some Tea From). Later I went for dinner at Franck A. with Patricia and her husband, Marion, Laura, taisstf and Sadalbari.
taisstf drew a comic on the paper runner covering the table which recalled the events of the day. Marion retold the events of the previous year, and we had a lot of laughs. There was football on, and a Danish couple looked at us cross because of the noise we were making. Into the comic they went (Angry Danish football fans: "damn tourists!"
) She also drew Viggo on the opposite side of the globe
.
Denmark lost to the Czech Republic 3:0
.
The night before, Laura had made a mistake when giving away The Horse Is Good, calling it "The Horse Is Mine".
Poor thing, she was so embarrassed about it
.
When my food arrived, it looked really made up artistically, so we started joking about how the horse is mine and the food is good
.
