Odense Reunion 2004 - Diary

Tuesday, June 22

Patricia and her husband just dropped me home about 15 minutes ago, so I have an internet connection to continue my diary

I slept in late (so, I did get some sleep ) and had breakfast with pinon. We walked to the bus stop together. There was a tipsy couple with beer bottles in their hands who pointed out a bike lying in a hedge and we took some pics. Pinon talked in Scandinavian to them, they had some fun...

The bus driver helped us find our stop, and I showed pinon around the gallery. Her pics had arrived earlier that morning, so she could hang them herself.

Marion glued G's poems to a white board and the rest of us started putting up labels (Becky had remarked a day earlier that I had a very sick sense of humour and was capable of hanging them upside down or switch them around , but she trusted me enough after all for me to prove I wouldn't do it on purpose )

Around 13:00 I took off to make a restaurant reservation and arrange for some material for our secret mission (OK, I can say it now: Canvasses for the surprise gifts). I passed by the railway station and took some train pics, then queued up at the shop with free internet access for posting my first diary entry. Grabbed some lunch and returned to the gallery.

We had trouble hanging the last pics because this is the first time ever the gallery ran out of hooks & strings! At 17:00 they closed it and we went to La Piazza for drinks, so we were sitting right beneath the room where the VM exhibition was last year. After dinner at the Cuckoo's Nest we went over to the Domir Hotel to watch the football game: Denmark - Sweden 2:2 - Nordic Victory! They both made it to the finals, so everybody could walk home friends . I don't particularly care for it myself, but watching people's reactions is fun .
